FEMA to Conduct National Test of the Wireless Emergency Alert System Tomorrow Afternoon (Sept. 20)

National test of the wireless emergency alert system
The Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Federal Communications Commission plan to conduct the first test of the Wireless Emergency Alert and Emergency Alert System tomorrow, September 20, between 2:15 and 2:30 pm.
The alert is the first nationwide test of the presidential alert test. It allows allows the president to address the nation in the event of a national emergency. Anyone with cell service should receive the test message on their phone tomorrow.
