National Alliance on Mental Illness Heroes Celebration, Nov. 10 at Pooks Hill Marriott

On the evening of Friday, November 16th, NAMI MC will host its 19th Annual Heroes Celebration at the Bethesda Marriott. At the event, NAMI MC will honor former Washington Redskins quarterback Mark Rypien for courageously sharing his personal experience living with mental illness and encouraging others suffering to seek help. The event will also recognize former Walt Whitman High School principal, Dr. Alan Goodwin with the Wayne Fenton Memorial Award. The Annual Heroes Celebration is NAMI MC’s largest fundraiser and supports all of NAMI MC’s free classes, support groups and presentations as well as the evidence-based suicide prevention program Sources of Strength.  For more information see:  NAMI_Heroes_Invite_2018
